For more than a decade, Lauren has practiced healing arts beginning with yoga, and in 2017 received her massage license from Boone, North Carolina. She specializes in Thai massage and enjoys traveling to Thailand training with Thai masters and local practitioners. Clients often comment that Lauren's work is intentional and instinctual, and she enjoys working with those with spinal cord and other injuries, health impairments, seniors, and athletes- all of which Thai massage show improvements for. After graduating from an herbalism program, Lauren established Blue Mountain Buddha Apothecary. She uses her own nourishing, antibacterial massage oils wildcrafted from her hikes through the Appalachian Mountains and plants from her garden.

She specializes in Hot Stone massage, and incorporates essential oils into her sessions. Barbara received her massage license from Body Therapy Institute in Siler City, NC in 2005, and specializes in Acupressure, Trigger Point Therapy and Swedish to Therapeutic Massage using medium to deep pressure. She trained in Kinesiology, Sports Massage and assisted stretching. Barbara also studied Russian and European techniques at the European Massage School in Raleigh, NC, and works well on the neck, lower back and sciatic pain.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy:
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time will be charged half price of all services booked. No shows, appointments cancelled upon arrival, and appointments cancelled within less than an hour of the scheduled appointment time will be charged in full for all services booked. Gift vouchers will be voided if the appointment is cancelled or no show within 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.
On-Time Policy:
If you are a first time client, arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time in order to start on time and get the full session. Example: if your session begins at 11am arrive at 10:50am. This allows time for you to fill out an intake form and go over it with your therapist and use the restroom if necessary. Call or text us at 828-832-6300 if you are running late. Your appointment time may need to be shortened in the event of a late arrival. The regular service price will apply.
Inappropriate Behavior Policy:
Massage therapy is for therapeutic purposes only. There is absolutely no sexual component to professional massage. Any inappropriate joke, gesture, conversation, or request will result in immediate termination of your session, and a refusal of any and all services in the future. You will be charged for the full service regardless of the length of your session. Exposure or touching your therapist will result in a police report being filed including your photo and vehicle provided by our security cameras.
